“But what does this have to do with the witches or Russell Edgington?” Gracie sighs.
“Well, the Sanguinistas have chosen the former king of Mississippi as their leader, martyr or whatever. And the witches were hired to track him, and I’m sure use their magic to put him under a trance, much like Antonia.” She paused again. “But suddenly, out of the blue the Guardian requested a private audience with me; he suspects there are traitors in his house and has asked me personally to weed them out...I gave him only one, though. He's already been eliminated.”
“What of Nora?” Eric demanded.
“That’s one of the reasons why I’m here. Godric asked me and Roman to look out for Nora, and I’m doing that by coming to you, Eric. I figured since you’re her brother, you’d know how to proceed with this delicate situation.”

“It was his idea. He knew someone outed me, so I had to make it look I’d gone rogue. I came here to Louisiana to investigate this further and it looks like my suspicions were correct.” Something about this bothered Eric. “How did Nora become a Sanguinista?”
